Jets coach Robert Saleh said “it’s possible” Wilson could start against the Ravens, adding that the second-year quarterback “looked good” in practice Monday.
Wilson underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right knee Aug. 16 and was expected to miss two to four weeks, ESPN reported.
If the Jets rule Wilson out, Joe Flacco will start against the Ravens, who he played for from 2005-2018.
Saleh said the team planned to evaluate how Wilson’s knee responded to practice before making a decision Wednesday.
Wilson, 23, played in 13 games his rookie season, completing 55.6% of his passes for 2,334 yards, nine touchdowns and 11 interceptions.
Flacco, 37, has thrown for 41,269 yards in his 14-year career, with 227 TDs and 144 interceptions. Last season, he played in two games, going 27-for-42 for 338 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions.
