But thanks to a new product description, a few details about Dark Flash’s powers have finally been revealed:
Two collections of different sizes will be launched but with the same characters: two versions of the Flash, Batman, and the villain, Dark Flash – who steals the soul of speedster heroes.

It is believed that Dark Flash is the speedster that the DCEU’s Flash is seen fighting in the latest The Flash trailer. Whether or not that is the case remains to be seen. In the comics, Dark Flash (or Black Flash, to be precise) is essentially the Grim Reaper for Speedsters. However, the DCEU seems to be taking Dark Flash in a new direction based on The Flash merchandise information.
One of the popular The Flash movie theories is that Dark Flash is none other than the Barry doppelganger. While the two Barrys will be allies at the start, the new one will potentially take on the form of Dark Flash throughout the story. The idea that he can steal the soul of speedsters is a bit of a departure from his comic counterpart. It makes the DCEU’s Dark Flash sound less like the speedster’s Death figure and more of an antagonist.
If Dark Flash is truly meant to be the other Barry, it will be intriguing to see how The Flash movie takes him down that trajectory. How The Flash’s Dark Flash even comes into play will likely be towards the back half of the story.
