Andrew Garfield and Florence Pugh are reportedly set to star together in a new movie titled We Live in Time. The Oscar-nominated talents are two of the most adored Hollywood stars, their popularity aided by their respective Marvel roles as Peter Parker/Spider-Man and Yelena Belova. The two stars also have several Oscar-nominated roles under their belts, including Hacksaw Ridge and tick, tick…BOOM! for Garfield and Little Women for Pugh.
Now, fresh off presenting together at the 2023 Oscars, Garfield and Pugh are reportedly set to star in a new movie, We Live in Time. Per Deadline, the two have entered negotiations to co-star in the film, though their deals haven’t been finalized yet. The two stars just presented the Best Original and Adapted Screenplay awards together at the Oscars, charming viewers with their chemistry who had no idea they had a collaboration in the works.
Everything We Know About We Live in Time
While precise plot details are being kept under wraps, We Live in Time sounds like a romantic comedy, as it is described as a “funny, deeply moving and immersive love story.” Nick Panye, who created the miniseries Wanderlust and co-wrote Netflix’s The Last Letter from Your Lover, is currently penning the script. John Crowley is on board as director, known for helming the Oscar-nominated film Brooklyn and recently directed all four episodes of Life After Life. If Garfield and Pugh close their deals, We Live in Time is planning to start filming this year, which would add another project to the stars’ busy schedules.
Pugh is coming off a busy 2022 in which she starred in Don’t Worry Darling, The Wonder, and Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, and already has A Good Person, Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer, and Dune: Part Two slated for this year, with the MCU’s Thunderbolts shooting soon. Garfield is coming off his Emmy-nominated performance in Under the Banner of Heaven and is set to star as Richard Branson in the limited series Hot Air. Garfield and Pugh presenting together at the Oscars gave audiences a taste of the stars’ chemistry, and now they are set to join forces in We Live in Time.
