The Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Thunderbolts gets an exciting fan-made trailer that brings the titular team together. One of the last films in Phase 5 will be Thunderbolts, which will bring the morally-grey team together. Pitched as the MCU’s Suicide Squad, the ensemble film will see multiple foes and anti-heroes joining forces. The seed emerged in Phase 4, primarily with the introduction of Valentina Allegra de Fontaine.
Screen Culture recently released a Thunderbolts fan-made trailer as a proof of concept. The Thunderbolts movie is eying production later in 2023 to meet its 2024 release date.
The Thunderbolts fan-made trailer includes footage from The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, Hawkeye, and Black Widow. While he hasn’t been added to the cast, the trailer imagines Baron Zemo as a member of the team.
Everything We Know About MCU’s Thunderbolts
Jake Schreier will direct Thunderbolts, which was confirmed in June 2022. Black Widow scribe Eric Pearson was hired to pen the script when Schreier got attached to the film. However, Beef’s Lee Sung Jin was recently tapped to replace Pearson as he’s rewriting the script. It’s unclear what caused the shift with Pearson’s initial treatment.
Several members have already been confirmed to appear in Thunderbolts. Black Widow’s Yelena Belova, Taskmaster, and Red Guardian will be part of this line-up. Bucky Barnes is also joining the team after The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. The MCU baddies U.S. Agent and Ghost have also been added to the film. Steven Yeun was cast as a mystery player, with many believing it to be Sentry. Ayo Edebiri has also been tapped as a secret character.
Since Thunderbolts filming is expected to happen in June, time will tell what to expect from the film. Whether it’ll be set photos or videos, it won’t take long for a first look to come out online. It’ll be intriguing to see how critical Thunderbolts will be for the MCU’s Multiverse Saga.
