The Batman‘s Robert Pattinson becomes Daredevil in new thrilling fan art. Pattinson debuted as the Dark Knight in 2022’s The Batman, with both the movie, and the actor’s performance, being considered by many as some of the best work done for the character. Ever since The Batman premiered, general audiences have changed their stance on Pattinson, who most people first got to know from the young adult book series adaptation Twilight, with the vampire movie franchise being fairly popular. Now, Pattinson has earned quite the acclaim in the superhero medium, and fans have started to imagine the actor in other roles.

On Twitter, digital artist @IGBobbyArt shared their take on what Pattinson could look like if he jumped from DC to Marvel, leaving Batman behind in favor of playing Daredevil.

Pattinson looks fantastic, and comic book-accurate, in the fan art as both Matt Murdock and his alter ego, Daredevil. The art gives Pattinson Murdock’s iconic red hair, which is missing from Charlie Cox’s fan-favorite version of the character, both in the original Netflix series, and the character’s MCU return. With Cox as Murdock in next year’s Daredevil: Born Again series, and Pattinson’s The Batman 2 set for a 2025 release, the actor cannot play Daredevil, even if the fancast is great.

Robert Pattinson Would Be Perfect As Daredevil, If He Wasn’t Batman

As the fan art shows, Pattinson possesses the looks to play Matt Murdock, but the actor’s ability to bring Daredevil to life goes beyond the physical aspect. In fact, in an alternate universe he might have played the role. A group of young British actors lived together when they were starting out their careers in Hollywood, and Pattinson was part of this formidable ensemble. The group of friends included Fifty Shades franchise’s Jamie Dornan, The Amazing Spider-Man‘s Andrew Garfield, Academy Award-winner Eddie Redmayne, and Daredevil himself, Cox.

The actors used to go for the same roles in the past, making it interesting to imagine Pattinson playing Daredevil instead of Cox. Pattinson’s acting range definitely would make him a perfect choice for Matt Murdock, with the actor showing in roles such as Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Neil in Christopher Nolan’s Tenet, and Monet in A24’s High Life that he can master all facets of Daredevil. Be it Matt Murdock’s easygoing, flirty personality, the more serious stance the character takes when in court, or the tortured Catholic who takes to the night as the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen, Pattinson can do it all.

Pattinson’s role as Batman also makes him a great pick for Daredevil, with the DC and Marvel characters sharing some similarities. Both are orphans due to a tragic childhood event, have secret identities they dearly protect, and have many dark and gritty stories. While Pattinson still has his The Batman trilogy to finish, maybe a future role as Daredevil is still in the cards for the actor. Besides, he would not be the first actor to play both Batman and Daredevil, as Ben Affleck has managed to do that before, although to very different results.
