The alleged victim of Jonathan Majors, who has been charged with assault and harassment, has now been granted a Full Temporary Order of Protection. The actor gained notoriety for his roles in Lovecraft Country, Creed III, and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Majors was arrested on March 25 on charges of strangulation, assault, and harassment following a dispute. Majors’ representatives have since denied the charges, instead stating that the actor is the victim, which they believe the evidence will corroborate.

As reported by Variety, the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office released a statement regarding a judge’s order in Majors’ case. The statement says, “Today a judge granted a Full Temporary Order of Protection for the victim, per the People’s request and with the consent of defense counsel.” This Order of Protection means that both parties are not allowed to make any contact with each other, even through a third party, and the order will remain in place until their next court date.

The Fallout From Jonathan Majors’ Arrest

Majors was riding high earlier this year with the release of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and Creed III, earning the actor back-to-back number-one hits at the box office. However, his blossoming career has taken several massive hits following the arrest, with even more alleged abuse victims coming forward.

Shortly after Majors’ arrest, others in the industry began to make disparaging remarks that potentially corroborated the behavior that allegedly led to his arrest. Majors was also dropped from an Army advertisement deal, the movie The Man in My Basement, an ad campaign for the Texas Rangers, and an Otis Redding biopic. Additionally, Entertainment 360, his talent managers, and the Lede Company, his PR team, dropped him as a client last week.

As for Majors’ upcoming work, much remains up in the air. His film Magazine Dreams was a no-show at CinemaCon despite it still being slated for release later this year, with the studio possibly wary of showcasing the actor at this time. Marvel has also not yet parted ways with the star, who is slated to appear in Loki season 2, with his character Kang set to be a significant part of the next MCU phase. Ultimately, Majors’ fate relies on the outcome of his case, with his future uncertain at this time.
