The first Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One poster has arrived, highlighting Tom Cruise’s biggest stunt ever. The Mission: Impossible franchise is returning for what is expected to be an epic two-part franchise finale subtitled Dead Reckoning, with the first part releasing this summer. The first Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One trailer was released in May 2022, the end of which showed Cruise riding a motorcycle off a cliff.
Now, with about three months left to go until its release, the official Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One poster has arrived.
Shared by Mission: Impossible on Twitter, the poster shows Cruise and a motorcycle in free fall, making his insane cliff jump look that much scarier. Check out the official poster above.
Tom Cruise’s Biggest Mission: Impossible 7 Stunt Explained
As is the tradition with Cruise’s death-defying feats, this cliff jump has been the main attraction of Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One‘s marketing campaign. The first trailer, which was released way back in May 2022, revealed the first footage of the insane stunt. Late last year, Paramount released an extended behind-the-scenes look at what they call “the biggest stunt in cinema history.” Now, the stunt is once again taking center stage on the movie’s official poster.
The insane stunt, which involves Cruise riding a motorcycle off a cliff and then base jumping to a point below, required the star to undergo a year of base training, advanced skydiving training, canopy control, and several other skills. On the day of filming, Cruise performed the stunt six times in order to achieve the perfect shot. For good reason, the unbelievable stunt has been the primary focus of the movie’s marketing campaign thus far, and will be the main attraction getting butts in seats when Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One releases in theaters on June 28.
