It may be hard to decide who the next James Bond will be, but AI art is guiding the way. After Daniel Craig hung up 007’s suit and tie for the last time, speculation has been intensifying about who will take on the mantle next. For years, the iconic spy’s title has been unclaimed, leaving only a few choice names to try to fill the mantle.

New AI technology shows off exactly how one popular actor — Aaron Taylor-Johnson — could potentially fill the role, and the effect is eerie.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson isn’t the only potential James Bond getting the AI treatment, but it can be hard to deny the effect. He looks at home in James Bond’s clothes, holding a camera and staring at the viewer. There are very few signs that the image is faked, save for a few hints in his eerie-looking fingers.

Aaron-Taylor Johnson speaking

This isn’t the first time that Aaron Taylor-Johnson has been named as a potential Bond. He has previously responded to the James Bond rumors, calling them “flattering“. Yet to deny the rumors, he insists that it has humbled him to be recommended for such a high-profile role.

It makes sense that he didn’t refuse the fan-casting, since he has met with James Bond producer Barbara Broccoli before. His role in Bullet Train proved that he is capable of high-action and high-intensity roles, and his Quicksilver in Avengers: Age of Ultron showed off his charm and charisma. He also has never been one to shy away from prolific and popular roles. He has even led a major franchise before with his performance in Godzilla.

Should Aaron Taylor-Johnson become James Bond, he would be the next in a long line of popular castings. For Broccoli and the rest of the James Bond producers, it could easily be a home-run selection. It’s also a natural next step in Taylor-Johnson’s career, offering him the chance to headline one of the world’s most popular franchises. Besides, with the AI art to prove it, he could certainly make an excellent star for James Bond.
