Mayor of Kingstown star Jeremy Renner recently shared a parody Cameo video from Avengers costar Paul Rudd. After pulling a stuck vehicle out of the snow on New Year’s Day, Renner’s 14,000-pound snowplow began to slide uncontrollably. During an attempt to save his young nephew, the plow’s massive tracks caught the Marvel Cinematic Universe actor, breaking over 30 bones in his body, puncturing his liver, and collapsing a lung.

Renner recently took the stage on Jimmy Kimmel Live! where he shared a parody Get Well Soon video made by Avengers: Endgame costar Paul Rudd. Scroll to 8:31 in the interview below to see Rudd’s message.

While promoting Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Rudd stopped by Renner’s hospital room a number of times to cheer his friend up. The actor also created a parody Cameo video for Renner encouraging him to get well soon, pretending to be unfamiliar with who Renner was, opening the video with “Hey, Jerry” and that he heard the actor “got in a fight with a snowblower, apparently.” Read what Renner said about Rudd below:

So Rudd, who I love so much, he happened to be in town promoting his movie. He came by a couple of times to the hospital and always just making my day because he’s one of the funniest guys around, right. Then he sent me a video message — anybody know Cameo where they could pay money get some movie star to say, “Hey, happy birthday?” So, he made a fake one — I didn’t even ask him to — he made a fake one like I paid him money for a Cameo.

How Jeremy Renner’s Friends and Costars Supported Him

Following Renner’s horrific accident, the Hawkeye star received messages of support and care from all over the world. As the actor shared progress through his arduous recovery, Renner continued to receive encouragement from his supporters. Clearly evident from his recent Jimmy Kimmel Live! appearance, the actor still has a long road of physical therapy and continuous medical evaluations ahead.

Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn and former National Lampoon’s Senior Trip costar Tara Strong took to social media immediately following the incident to send heartfelt messages of hope to the actor. Several MCU costars joined Renner’s resounding support including Chris Pratt, Taika Waititi, Colbie Smulders, and Paul Bettany. Captain America actor Chris Evans joked with his fellow Avenger, asking about the condition of the Sno-Cat following its run-in with Renner.

With Renner’s injuries rather extensive, the actor’s career has been put on hold as he recovers. Mayor of Kingstown season 3 has yet to be announced but series creators Taylor Sheridan and Hugh Dillon have shared their interactions with Renner immediately following the incident and are expecting him back on his feet to join them back on set. With his positive attitude on full display, as well as walking with a cane across the stage as Jimmy Kimmel’s guest, Renner appears to be on a fast track to get back in front of the camera.
