Lance Reddick receives a standing ovation at the premiere of John Wick: Chapter 4 following his death. Reddick passed away on March 17 from natural causes at the age of 60. He stars in John Wick: Chapter 4 alongside Keanu Reeves, Ian McShane, Donnie Yen, and Laurence Fishburne. Reddick portrays Charon, the calm, reliable concierge at The Continental hotel who has appeared in all four films in the John Wick franchise, even acting as a caregiver for John’s dog.

Following Reddick’s passing, the late actor was honored at the premiere of John Wick: Chapter 4, receiving a standing ovation in a new video from The Hollywood Reporter.

The video sees Lionsgate’s Joe Drake addressing the audience, asking for loud applause to show their appreciation for the Reddick. What starts as clapping erupts into a standing ovation, with the crowd paying tribute to the late actor.

Lance Reddick Still Has Several Projects Yet To Be Released

Reddick can be seen in John Wick 4 when it hits theaters later this week, but the actor also completed several projects before his passing that have yet to be released. The John Wick spinoff Ballerina, which stars Ana de Armas, is set to see Reddick as Charon once again. Depending on how existing franchise characters are utilized in the spinoff, he may only receive brief screen time, but his character could also serve as a great way to connect to the new lead.

Reddick will also appear in Percy Jackson and the Olympians, in which he plays Zeus alongside Walker Scobell in the title role. Percy Jackson creator Rick Riordan penned a moving tribute to Reddick, speaking on the actor’s gravitas, calling him “a multi-faceted artist who elevated every part he played.” And while the show is not likely to premiere until next year, Riordan assures that Reddick will still appear as Zeus.

Reddick will also appear in the remake of White Men Can’t Jump, which is slated to hit Hulu in May, and he stars in Shirley, a film about America’s first Black congresswoman, Shirley Chisholm, from 12 Years a Slave writer John Ridley. Shirley stars Regina King in the title role and is expected to release later this year. So, while Reddick’s passing came suddenly, his body of work will continue to live on, with the actor still having a few performances to share with the world, starting with John Wick: Chapter 4.
