M. Night Shyamalan shares an eerie new poster for his upcoming horror movie Knock at the Cabin, which stars Dave Bautista and Rupert Grint.
Knock at the Cabin gets an eerie new poster that highlights the four strangers in M. Night Shyamalan’s upcoming horror movie. Following the highly successful release of 1999’s The Sixth Sense, Shyamalan has continued to establish himself as one of the horror genre’s key figures, with stories that spark intrigue and often feature a variety of unexpected twists and turns along the way. Over recent years, Shyamalan has continued to shock audiences with releases such as The Visit and Split, although the director’s most recent 2021 release, Old, received a mixed reception from both audiences and critics alike.
With Knock at the Cabin set to kick off an exciting year of horror releases, Shyamalan’s newest film has received a brand new graphic poster. Shared by Shyamalan on Twitter, the poster puts the focus on Knock at the Cabin‘s four home invaders in a simple, film noir-inspired graphic. The four strangers can be seen leering over the cabin, with their silhouettes marking the ground with red streaks. Check out the unique new poster below.
Everything We Know About Knock At The Cabin
Knock at the Cabin follows a couple and their young daughter who take a trip to a remote cabin in the woods. During their stay, the trio is approached by four menacing strangers, who tell them they must make a choice in order to prevent the apocalypse. Jonathan Groff and Ben Aldridge star as the couple Andrew and Eric, alongside Kristen Cui who plays their daughter Wen. Dave Bautista, Rupert Grint, Abby Quinn, and Nikki Amuka-Bird star as the four strangers, with a recently released image for Knock at the Cabin offering an interesting new look at these curious characters.
The screenplay for Knock at the Cabin comes from Shyamalan himself, alongside Steve Desmond and Michael Sherman who served as co-writers in adapting the novel The Cabin at the End of the World for the big screen. The best-selling book was written by author Paul G. Tremblay, with the film expected to follow a similar story, although no doubt with some signature Shyamalan plot devices sprinkled in along the way. The recent release of Knock at the Cabin‘s second trailer revealed a few more interesting details about the much-anticipated release, though any major reveals are being kept tightly under wraps.
With just a short while to go until Shyamalan’s latest feature hits screens, this new poster is sure to further excite those who are already eager to learn what lies ahead. Knock at the Cabin is set to debut with an R-rating for both violence and language when it hits theaters on February 3. With this in mind, it’s fair to assume that audiences will be in for some fairly intense scenes as the film explores just how far some people will go to protect their family.
