After Kang the Conqueror revealed that he has already killed Thor, Chris Hemsworth reacts to the claims with a brilliant Avengers: Infinity War clip.
Chris Hemsworth responds to Kang the Conqueror’s claims that he has already killed the God of Thunder in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Jonathan Majors’ Multiverse Saga villain is about to be introduced in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, but before he even makes his debut, he’s already poised to be one of the scariest adversaries for the Avengers. Aside from being all-powerful, he also says that he has defeated Earth’s Mightiest Heroes in the Multiverse before.
The God of Thunder actor Hemsworth responds to this with a scene from Avengers: Infinity War where Thor confidently talks about his own fighting capabilities. Check out the actor’s post below:
Hemsworth is responding to an official Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania clip released by Marvel Studios where Kang gloats about killing Thor before. The Conqueror doesn’t get into specifics about when this happened, but it’s likely something that will be revealed as the Multiverse Saga continues.
Can Kang the Conqueror Really Kill Thor In Avengers 5?
Since there’s very little known about Kang at this point, it’s difficult to say if he’s really able to kill Thor when they inevitably meet in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. While he is poised to be very powerful, the fact that he is also fighting his own variants can significantly help the heroes’ cause in taking him down. Amid this, it will be very interesting to see Kang go one-on-one with Thor, the same way Thanos did with the Hulk at the start of Avengers: Infinity War.
Feige says that Ant-Man 3 is MCU’s most important film since Avengers: Endgame, and it’s because the movie will lay out the rest of the Multiverse Saga, including its primary villain. So, it’s curious if the threequel will reveal Kang’s history with Thor. Understandably, there’s interest in learning what exactly went down when they first met and what led to the God of Thunder’s defeat. Although, for the most part, Thor’s weakness stems from him allowing his emotions to get the best of him. That was why he failed to stop Thanos do the snap.
It’s interesting, however, that Hemsworth chose to use this particular snippet in Avengers: Infinity War because he loses again to Thanos at the end of the movie. His failure led to his deep depression in Avengers: Endgame — something that he finally dealt with in Thor: Love and Thunder. Regardless of the context behind this scene, however, it’s arguably one of Thor’s most emotional Marvel Cinematic Universe moments of all time.
