Screen Rant has the honor of exclusively revealing that Kathryn Newton, one of the stars of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, is joining C2E2’s packed 2023 lineup of guests. Newton joined the MCU as Cassie Lang, the daughter of Scott Lang (aka Ant-Man) and an aspiring hero in her own right. She is also known for her roles in the hit video game adaptation Detective Pikachu, the HBO sensation Big Little Lies, and Netflix’s The Society.
Cassie Lang and her superhero family were pulled into the Quantum Realm after a mishap with the device she invented to map the subatomic universe in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Cassie has grown into a brilliant young woman who wants to use her intelligence and suit to help people, following in both her father’s and Hope Van Dyne’s footsteps. Cassie held her own alongside her family, working with the Quantum Realm citizens to lead a revolt against the powerful Kang the Conqueror.
Kathryn Newton Joins an Epic Lineup of 2023 C2E2 Guests
C2E2 will be Newton’s first convention appearance since her debut in the MCU. Newton will be available at C2E2 on Sunday, April 2 for Photo Ops and Autographs as well as send-in orders on SWAU. Newton isn’t the only MCU star who will be in Chicago; she will join Chris Evans, the former Captain America Steve Rogers, and Tenoch Huerta, who recently debuted in the MCU as Namor in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
C2E2 will include other beloved heroes, including Smallville’s Tom Welling, Kristin Kreuk, Michael Rosenbaum, and Erica Durance; Buffy the Vampire Slayer stars David Boreanaz, James Masters, and Charisma Carpenter; and Avatar: The Last Airbender voice actors Zach Tyler Eisen and Dante Basco, who will join the lineup. The Our Flag Means Death cast and Boy Meets World cast members Danielle Fishel, Rider Strong, Trina McGee, William Daniels, Bonnie Bartlett, and Will Friedle will also be at the convention. C2E2 will also include a number of greats in the comic book industry, including artists and writers.
The Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo began in 2010 and features guests from the worlds of comics, film, and television. C2E2 2023 will be held at McCormick Place in Chicago from March 31-April 2. Tickets for C2E2 are available for purchase now, with digital ticket options also available.
