The DC Comics villain Clayface gets a horrific new look in The Batman – Part II fan art. As DC Studios begins creating their DC Universe, the Elseworlds franchises are still going forward. One of them is Matt Reeves’ The Batman universe with Robert Pattinson as the DC superhero. After The Batman’s big success, The Batman – Part II is officially in development with Reeves and Pattinson returning.

Digital artist Mizuri recently did a rendition of what Clayface could look like in The Batman universe. The artwork was a response to reports of the villain potentially appearing in The Batman – Part II.

Thus far, Warner Bros. Discovery hasn’t confirmed Clayface’s role in The Batman – Part II. There were also reports of Mike Flanagan’s pitch for a Clayface project with DC Studios.

Everything We Know About The Batman 2

Robert Pattinson as Batman in The Batman

The Batman – Part II was properly announced in late January during DC Studios’ Chapter 1 unveiling. The sequel is currently scheduled to be released on October 3, 2025, with Reeves directing and writing it. Pattinson is, at this point, the only confirmed returning The Batman cast member. Mattson Tomlin is also back to pen The Batman – Part II script with Reeves.

As Reeves is building out this universe, the filmmaker and cast have talked about potential villains for the sequel. During The Batman press tour, the Court of Owls was mentioned several times as villains they hope to see. But if Clayface is in it, time will tell if the Court of Owls will appear in The Batman – Part II. It’s also unclear if Barry Keoghan’s Joker will have a bigger role in the sequel.

Whether Riddler and Penguin will return for the second installment also remains to be seen. With Reeves fleshing out the franchise in film and TV, there is a lot to expect from The Batman universe. Hopefully, more plans will emerge later this year, especially as The Batman – Part II begins filming.
