Matt Fitzpatrick will be playing alongside his brother in the Zurich Classic. Matt and Alex will be teaming up for the first time in their respective careers. Fitzpatrick shared the news with a hilarious screenshot text exchange with his brother.
He gave him the dates of the Zurich Classic and asked him if he was free. His brother said yes, but wondered why. Matt casually said they could play the Classic, to which Alex agreed.
Steve Worthy, the producer of the Zurich Classic, said via Crescent City Sports:
“We are excited to have Matt and Alex joining us in New Orleans for the first time. We’ve been fortunate to have some great partnership stories in team play, and this adds to that legacy. Matt is a major champion, and his brother is a rising star, so we expect their familiarity will make them a very competitive team.”
The Zurich Classic will be held from April 17 to 23.
