Last summer, the Memphis Grizzlies guard reportedly got into a fight with a 17-year-old boy during a pickup basketball game. After assaulting the teenage boy, Morant allegedly flashed his gun as well.
In January 2023, the talented guard was involved in a laser incident. The Indiana Pacers claimed that someone was pointing a laser at them after their matchup against the Grizzlies. The laser was pointed from the vehicle that was carrying Morant.
Morant’s behavior has been acceptable, but to make matters worse, he appears to have flashed his gun during his live video on Instagram. The video was posted shortly after Memphis’ loss to the Denver Nuggets on Friday night.

Shortly after the video surfaced, the NBA released a statement, saying that Morant would be investigated. While it’s hard to say whether the gun was real or not, this was not a good look for the 23-year-old guard.

Another Twitter user brought up gun violence and implied that the former Rookie of the Year should have been suspended for a longer period.

After their road trip, the Grizzlies will have two games at home before hitting the road again. It’s important to note that the suspension came from the team. Morant could also be suspended by the NBA if he’s found guilty.
