In Match 7 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, the Gujarat Titans (GT) defeated Delhi Capitals (DC) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Tuesday. The Titans won the toss and elected to bowl first. The Delhi Capitals had a rocky start, losing early wickets, with David Warner being the top scorer, contributing 37 runs off 32 balls.
However, the middle-order batsmen Axar Patel and Sarfaraz Khan helped the team recover, scoring 36 and 30 runs, respectively. The Titans bowlers, led by Mohammed Shami and Rashid Khan, managed to restrict the Capitals to a total of 162/8 in 20 overs.
In response, the Gujarat Titans were in a spot of bother after losing three wickets for 54. Then Sai Sudharsan took charge and bailed his side out of trouble, thanks to crucial partnerships with Vijay Shankar and David Miller.
Sudharsan was the top scorer for the Titans with an impressive 62 runs off 48 balls. Miller also played a vital role in the Titansβ victory, scoring 31 runs off just 16 balls. Anrich Nortje being the only bowler to take more than one wicket for the Capitals as the Titans chased down the target in just 18.1 overs, winning the match by 6 wickets.
